Maybe you already knew Jesus. Maybe you were raised christian. Maybe you never believed in God. Whatever your specific story is, Jesus loves you, and He's ready to receive you. So, what do you do next?
The first step we recommend is finding a church that fits you. It is vital to find a church home that feels like home. If you do not enjoy being there serving, talking, and listening then it's probably not the church for you. Do not be afraid to try out several different churches, or even denominations (we recommend you briefly study them before entering).
Next, you might consider buying a Bible, or picking up one you already have. There are hundreds of different versions of the Bible that make it easier to comprehend and study. If you do not have access to a hard copy, we suggest downloading a copy on your device.
The third step in your journey might be baptism. Some people may feel hesitant to to baptism because it seems like a scary commitment to be perfect all the time. Baptism is quite the opposite. The best way to think about baptism is like a engagement. Engagements are a public announcement that will tell everyone "I'm off the market" and symbolizes love and loyalty to one another. This is what baptism does for us. It publically announces that we are His and He is ours. He loves us and will be faithful all the days of our lives, and we're making a promise to him too. Do not mistake this promise as a standard to be perfect.
Finally, we recommend serving in any ministry you feel called to. There is so many areas of ministry like production, photography, worship, group leading, and sound. Even just volunteering somewhere that needs help. God calls us to serve His people and be helpful. Open up your heart to giving and helping others selflessly. Your reward will be great in heaven.
